I am just starting to work with resolume with my company and am sure this is possible with other software and connections. I have seen a co-worker of mine running After Effects on one laptop, running HDMI out of that laptop into an HDMI to SDI converter, then using an SDI to USB converter to run into a second laptop running resolume, and resolume was capturing straight from the After Effects timeline.
